Studio Store will be OPEN through Nov. 21

Our new Studio Store on Main Street in Pigeon will be open until November 21 which is the first Saturday of hunting season in Michigan. That gives our Michigan customers who live nearby or who come to the Thumb the rest of the summer and all fall to stop by. We're planning to reopen in the spring. Fall shop hours (after Labor Day) will be 10 am to 3 pm, Wednesday through Saturday. Summertime hours (before Labor Day) are 10 am to 3 pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Hope to see you soon!

Daiwabo Fabrics are HERE!

The Daiwabo Japanese fabrics that we ordered at Spring Quilt Market are here and they are flying out of the shop. We're cutting this fabric into kits for our miniature runner. Many of you have seen this sample and want to make one for your home. Daiwabo is subtle fabric -- some woven, some prints -- in shades of browns and taupes. Think of throwing soft, soft teal and apricot and lavendar into the soft play of brown and taupe and you'll have an idea of what these fabrics look like.

Graywood Studio Store is OPEN

We've opened a small shop on Main Street in Pigeon this summer. The Graywood Designs Studio Store features our books and patterns. We also carry batik and solid fabrics as well as some quilting notions that we use in our design studio like DMC thread for piecing.

We've refreshed the old Crackerbarrel Quilt from The Mercantile of days gone by. Now the Crackerbarrel Quilt is a graphic version of the Fence Rail pattern done in batiks. Our Crackerbarrel kits are so easy to sew. You get the pattern free with the kit. Kits are priced at $34.95 and $44.95. Come in a see this large sofa sized quilt.

Because we also design for knitting, we're carrying Brown Sheep yarns and Clover bamboo knitting needles. We have knitted samples of our Sensibility Shawl and Knitcushion designs in the shop. There is a shelf of sock yarns, lots of colors of Lamb's Pride Worsted and our new favorite, Lanaloft Handpaints. Other yarns we carry from Brown Sheep include Cotton Fleece and Shepherd's Shades.

Hours are 10 am to 3 pm Tuesday thru Saturday until Labor Day. Stop by when you are visiting the Thumb area!
